Overview
When Bologna persists, it’s rarely for nothing. The Ducati Panigale V4 (2022) was slated to be replaced by an entirely new generation; instead, Ducati chose to carry the model for a third time, a fairly rare occurrence in the brand's Superbike history and one worthy of attention. This isn’s industrial laziness; it's an admission: the base is so solid that it simply requires refinement where it counts.

Visually, the change is subtle but real. The winglets have been redesigned, more compact, while maintaining the same aerodynamic downforce levels, namely 16 kg at 200 km/h and 37 kg at full speed. The belly pan receives new vents, the calligraphy changes slightly, the footrests switch to black. Nothing groundbreaking, but the overall appearance remains visually tense, racy, clearly from the same school as the MotoGP machines. The seat has been flattened and covered with a more aggressive trim, the reworked tank gains a liter to reach 17 liters. These are details that matter when it comes to body positioning in fast corners.
What really changes is under the fairing. The Desmosedici Stradale, this 1103 cc V4 that makes the Aprilia RSV4 blush on the sensations battlefield, receives a revised oil pump, improved exhaust gas management, and fine recalibration that offers it an additional 1.5 horsepower. This brings us to 215.5 hp at 13,000 rpm and 123.6 Nm at 9,500 rpm, all for 175 kg dry weight. The gearbox borrows its architecture from the Ducati Panigale V4 R: longer first gears for better performance in hairpins, the last slightly revised upwards to reach a few additional km/h towards a top speed of 300 km/h. An Evo 2 DQS completes the picture.
The chassis of the standard version relies on an aluminum "Front Frame" associated with a Showa BPF 43 mm fork and a Sachs shock absorber, both fully adjustable. Four-piston Brembo Stylema calipers on 330 mm discs represent the best that is currently available in series, without a shadow of a doubt. The Ducati Panigale V4 S, for its part, receives Öhlins suspension and forged rims that justify the price difference. The swingarm pivot is raised by 4 mm across the entire range to contain wheelies and stabilize the bike on corner exit, an evolution directly from the experience accumulated on the track.

Electronics remain one of the strongest arguments of this bike against the competition, including the BMW M1000RR. The IMU 6-axis inertial unit orchestrates a complete ballet of assistance: DTC EVO 3 traction control on 8 levels, cornering ABS, wheelie control, launch assistant. Four riding modes, from Race A reserved for experienced riders to the Street mode limited to 150 hp, allow you to adapt the character of the machine to your actual level. The 5-inch TFT screen integrates a "Track Evo" theme to monitor electronic interventions in real time, with gear-change LEDs to avoid losing precious decimals on a timed lap.

Priced at 24,290 euros, the Ducati Panigale V4 2022 price is clearly not aimed at the weekend rider. It is a demanding hypersport, designed for those who know their trajectories by heart and know what it means to work a suspension setting between sessions. Those looking for a used Ducati Panigale V4 will probably find earlier models at more accessible prices, with a virtually identical technical sheet. This 2022 version, lacking a revolution, is a well-executed motorcycle, precise in its choices, and capable of transforming any straight line into a statement of intent.
