Overview
A pig on a motorcycle tank — that pretty much sums up the Milwaukee spirit. The Road Glide ST "Enthusiast Fast Johnnie" vintage 2023 draws its identity from a century-old anecdote, that of Ray Weishaar and his Wrecking Crew who, after every victory in the 1920s, would perch a piglet on their bike's tank for the victory lap. That little pig became a symbol, carried all the way onto the fairings of the official Harley team in King of the Baggers. It now appears engraved on the left flank of this limited edition's tank, facing the legendary Bar & Shield on the right side. Between heritage and muscle, the Road Glide ST Fast Johnnie plays a thoroughly American tune.

Under the skin, it's the Milwaukee Eight 117 that does the work. Nearly 1923 cc, 103 horsepower at 5450 rpm, and above all 167.7 Nm of torque available from just 3500 rpm. On paper, the power output seems modest relative to the displacement. In practice, it's the torque that runs the show. This 45-degree V-twin, cooled by oil and liquid, with four valves per cylinder and a 10.2:1 compression ratio, favors punchy acceleration and a deep rumble over chasing high revs. The six-speed gearbox and belt drive deliver a smoothness of operation that perfectly suits the machine's touring vocation. Top speed doesn't exceed 170 km/h, but nobody buys a Road Glide to break speed records.
The electric azure blue livery streaked with white racing stripes unambiguously evokes the muscle cars of the sixties and the world of Carroll Shelby. Harley transposes onto two wheels an aesthetic typically reserved for Mustangs and Camaros. The visual effect is striking, especially since the massive, angular Shark Nose fairing amplifies the machine's intimidating character. The full fairing houses the Boom Box GTS audio system, compatible with USB, Bluetooth, and smartphone, for those who prefer an alternative soundtrack to the V-twin's rumble. The electronic equipment is comprehensive for a Harley: cruise control, cornering-enhanced linked braking, traction control, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, and keyless ignition.
At 382 kg fully fueled, the beast demands respect. The sport solo seat, set at 715 mm, remains accessible, but the overall size forgives no hesitation during low-speed maneuvers. The 49 mm telescopic fork offers 117 mm of travel up front, while the twin rear shocks make do with 76 mm. Braking relies on dual 300 mm discs at the front and a single disc of the same diameter at the rear, all fitted with four-piston calipers. The 32-liter saddlebags on each side are a reminder that this machine is still built to devour tarmac over the long haul, with the 22.7-liter tank providing decent range despite the big twin's thirst.
The entry ticket comes in at 39,590 euros, a sum that includes a pair of Screamin' Eagle mufflers delivered with the bike. The dealer handles the installation. This premium over a standard Road Glide ST is justified by the exclusive nature of the series: only 2000 units for the entire Fast Johnnie range, all models combined. The target audience is clear. This Road Glide ST is aimed at American touring enthusiasts who want to stand out from the pack, with a machine whose history and temperament matter as much as raw performance. For those seeking pure speed, the Gold Wing or BMW R 1250 RT remain more rational alternatives. But rationality has never been Harley-Davidson's primary selling point.
