Overview

Want to really enjoy the road on the 800 Tiger?! It's in XRt version that it will give you the most. High-end, to leave the XR at the nightclub door, and the XRX getting flirted with on the track - this more comprehensive version plays with the footrests. A wink and it ignites the track. A road trail in the Triumph style, this is a world away from a placid mono of the 90s rummaging everywhere. Here, it’s watts, techno, and fashion. A turn of the starter and it’s in the box.

You feel a touch of a Street Triple RS presentation? Not at all, but the Tiger knows how to have fun too; on a different scale. The 3-cylinder engine is playful, less powerful, certainly, but its 95 horsepower knows how to carry the bike with joyfulness. It has been retouched for more responsiveness, further boosted by a shorter first gear ratio. The Riding Modes that coach it are the most numerous here. 5 road judges, named Road – Rain – Off-road - Sport – and as a bonus a mode programmable by the rider. In fact, it’s only one more than the XRX. But this plus that, and you quickly arrive at a significant difference. Let's look in more detail. We were talking about the XRX. Equipped with a center stand, an adjustable 5-position windshield, Brembo brakes, cruise control, heated grips, ABS and switchable traction control, daytime running lights and LED turn signals, a high-tech cockpit, 12 V and USB sockets, a 5-position control joystick, and handguards. With the ‘t’ added to the side panel, the equipment leans towards premium.

Here we go: heated seats for the rider and passenger, aluminum radiator protection, LED fog lights, and a few enhanced elements. The switchgear is backlit, the Showa inverted fork is fully adjustable, and the paintwork is a little more refined. To leave a bitter taste, the XRX relieves itself with two kilos less.

Here is the Triumph to take a good spin on the road in affirmed comfort. Strong point of this MKIII, its gaze is split by LED daytime whiskers, to enhance its visual identity. Major strength (glimpsed above), the instrumentation is completely revised and modernized, with a TFT screen from the latest 765 Street Triple. A beautiful color screen with 6 display styles plus 3 derivatives. With the 800 XRt Tiger, you will have difficulty finding a more comprehensive trail than this. A premium choice at a similarly affirmed price.
