Overview
KTM renews its rally-raid-customer competition machine for 2022: the 450 Rally Factory Replica. The machine is precisely calibrated for venturing into the events entrusted to deserts and spaces of the antipodes.

Cylinder Head
The single overhead camshaft (SOHC) cylinder head, composed of the highest quality materials, was manufactured to very precise tolerances to guarantee lasting performance.
Gearbox
The new gearbox has the exact same ratios as the winning machines of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing that won the Dakar Rally championship. It is intended to be extremely smooth in operation thanks to improvements made to the selection mechanism. High-quality, heat-treated steel selectors with a special coating guarantee reliability and robustness, an essential condition for undertaking long raids.
Engine Management System (EMS)
The highly sophisticated Keihin engine management system features a new 44 mm throttle body offering instant response and a consistent level of performance thanks to the injector's unique position. Engine maps have been adapted to the new air filter housing and the new cylinder head. The engine speed sensor seal has also been improved. These maps ensure optimal power deployment based on data communicated by the gear ratio sensor. Modifications to the throttle cable were intended to simplify cable routing and make them more accessible.
Silencer
The Akrapovic silencer was designed to function optimally with the engine and air filter housing. Shorter than its predecessor, it is also located lower to improve mass centralization and increase the bike's maneuverability.
Air Filter
The air filter housing is mounted above the engine to improve airflow, ensure instant throttle response, and increase performance levels. The large TWIN AIR air filter provides an effective barrier against dust and other impurities. The new design also frees up space for electrical components such as the battery. The battery is positioned centrally between the steering column and the air filter housing, which is a good point for mass centralization.
Frame
The 450 Rally Replica benefits from a new high-tech, chrome-molybdenum steel trellis frame. The frame's rigidity was studied to improve feedback to the rider, handling, and straight-line stability. The self-supporting fuel tank, with a capacity of 16 liters, has been cleverly integrated into the rear loop.
Swingarm
This model features a very lightweight cast aluminum swingarm whose flex behavior has been studied to accompany the movement of the suspensions. The linkage system transfers force to an adjustable shock absorber in every way to enhance feel, improve traction, and increase resistance to brake squat. The rider thus benefits from a higher level of stability and safety when in full action.
Suspensions
The 450 Rally is equipped with the latest WP PRO COMPONENTS suspensions. At the front, a 48 mm XACT PRO closed cartridge fork benefits from advanced Cone Valve technology. At the rear, a new WP XACT PRO shock absorber. The whole works in perfect symbiosis to guarantee balanced damping, very good stability, and excellent resistance to brake squat at high speed. This fully adjustable suspension combination can be precisely adapted to the terrain configuration and rider preferences.
Seats
The seat is designed to improve overall ergonomics, offer good grip and better control to the rider, and guarantee a comfortable seat during the longest stages.
Fairing
Engineers and designers took into account the recommendations of KTM factory riders to create a motorcycle as slim as possible. Rider ergonomics and contact points were particularly well cared for to guarantee maximum freedom of movement. The new GPS mount, made of ultra-light carbon fiber, is protected behind the revised fairing. This improves aerodynamics and significantly reduces turbulence at the rider's head when seated. This is less stress and fatigue for him.
