Motorcycle: KTM 450 RALLY (2019)
Do you dream of dried-up riverbeds, rocky tracks, and fesh-fesh? This competition-ready machine is made for you. Almost identical to the bike entrusted to Walkner, Price, and Sunderland, the latest Dakar victors, the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA benefits from the technological innovation that allows the Austrian brand to endure at the firmament of the mythical rally. All within a completely redesigned bodywork to best suit its READY TO RACE use.
Regarding the engine, the 450cc single-cylinder has also passed through the engineers’ office. Now developing a power estimated between 60 and 70 horsepower, it features a new cylinder head and new throttle bodies. The transmission has also been improved, as has the centralization of masses refined by working on the airbox volume and the battery location.
The 2019 KTM 450 Rally Replica benefits from a completely new tubular chassis, tested and developed with factory riders to best overcome the obstacles presented by the courses of the latest Dakar, which are always more demanding. This promises improved agility with increased stability during braking, while maintaining the same straight-line stability that characterizes KTM rally machines. A new swingarm associated with a reworked damper and the WP XACT Pro 48mm cartridge fork will improve acceleration traction and rear-end stability. The new fairing has been studied to reduce turbulence in the seated position and offer better visibility in the standing position. The entire navigation instrumentation is housed in a carbon dashboard. A more comfortable seat, a redesigned tank, and the new Akrapovi? exhaust also contribute to better centralization of masses.
Produced in 75 copies (already all reserved), the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA is marketed at 26,000 EUR net of tax. Riders entered in the Dakar can, for a few extra euros, benefit from a maintenance and assistance service from the brand. But be warned, places are also limited there...
