Overview

Motorcycle: Honda X-Adv (2026)

Breaking boundaries. That’s exactly what the Honda 750 X-Adv wants to do. Simultaneously an adventure bike and a scooter, seeking to combine the best of both, it’s the premium urban explorer.

Standing alone above the competition, the X-Adv has always been distinguished by a unique visual signature. For the 2025 model year release, the bodywork has been redesigned to offer even sharper and more dynamic lines. The new dual-optic LED headlights now feature daytime running lights (DRL) which, for the very first time on a motorized two-wheeler, are integrated.

To facilitate feet placement on the ground, the shape of the seat has been revised while denser urethane foam improves comfort. Finally, complemented by a glove box, the 22 l trunk features a USB-C charging socket.

A new 5-inch TFT color screen makes its appearance, offering new graphics, images, and menu structures. Its design facilitates readability in bright light while the connectivity function is retained via the Honda RoadSync app. Controlled by a new backlit 4-axis control panel that is easy to use, the whole system allows the rider to enjoy navigation or any other function associated with a smartphone. A very practical cruise control system is part of the 2025 equipment and works in conjunction with the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) to offer the most relaxing possible riding during long journeys.

Besides low fuel consumption, the inline twin-cylinder engine of the X-Adv is characterized by excellent performance easily exploited at mid-range. The claimed power is 58 horsepower for a torque of 7.1 mkg.

The electronic throttle (TBW) conditions 4 pre-defined riding modes (each offering specific combinations between power, engine braking, and torque control) - plus a USER mode that can be customized by the user. The torque control system HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) offers 3 levels of intervention as well as new settings on the GRAVEL or RAIN modes.

Revised on the X-Adv 2025 to offer smoother reactions at low speed, the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) has a gear shifting map that takes into account the riding mode chosen while still allowing the rider to define their preferred shift pattern via the USER mode.

The chassis is composed of a rigid steel tubular frame, an inverted 41 mm fork, a Pro-Link rear suspension, and an aluminum swingarm. Paired with a double disc with radial calipers, the front wheel announces a diameter of 17 inches against 15 inches at the rear.

Details of the riding modes:

STANDARD: responds to most situations with an intermediate level for power, engine braking, DCT operation, and torque control. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) is at its maximum level of intervention.

SPORT: DCT gear shift patterns, engine behavior, and engine braking are at the most dynamic level, the level of intervention of the torque control is low while the ABS is set to maximum intervention.

RAIN: for smooth use, with low power and engine braking, softened gear shifting and high levels of torque control and ABS.

GRAVEL: high level of power and engine braking, low level of intervention of the torque control and ABS. The DCT programming law is specific to this mode.

USER: allows the rider to define custom settings. Choices for power and engine braking can be set to low, medium, or high, torque control to low, medium, high, or off. The user can also choose between 5 different programs.

Thanks to the use of an electronic throttle, the torque control system HSTC allows even more precise and non-intrusive control of the torque transmitted to the rear wheel by the engine. 3 levels of HSTC intervention can be selected by the rider, levels 1 and 3 having been optimized in 2025 to allow smoother operation…

- Level 1: allows minimal intervention of the system for limited rear wheel traction control on slippery surfaces (gravel or dust, for example). The system's intervention itself is weaker than in the past.

- Level 2: this is the default mode that allows optimal traction under normal operating conditions.

- Level 3: guarantees maximum HSTC control on slippery surfaces.

The HSTC can also be completely disconnected.
