Overview
Guzzi offers a touch of sportiness to its V7 III Stone. Not to push its performance, a Clubman Cup or a café-racer clan. Just for the feeling, a little bobber touch, a moment of reckless abandon in the head and to show that you like pistons firing.
A beautiful satin-chrome tank adorned with a leather strap – the tone is set. The V7 III Stone S takes care of its torso. The sporty touch develops with a headlight placed lower, the dashboard slightly descended, and mirrors at the edges of the hands. As if the motorcycle wanted to gain speed in a head-in-the-tank style.
Except the S won’t go any faster than the other V7 III models. No engine improvements, no chassis modifications. The 744 cm3 twin remains at 52 horsepower; the cycle part is identical; only what is visible changes. Mandello mainly focused on giving it style. As often, it’s a matter of details. The rear appears a little more airy? It’s due to the mudguard, shorter and thinner. The seat gains quality with an Alcantara covering, embellished with red stitching. A color that is found on the shock absorber springs as well as the eagle on the sides of the tank. The airbox panels are made of aluminum and have the same appearance as on the Rough and Racer versions.
Finally, the Stone S finishes its introduction with the headlight light rim (from the Night Pack), a milling cut on the cooling fins of the engine, aluminum anodized throttle body covers and a tank cap, also in aluminum.
It’s a seven and a half. It makes it known by offering itself in only 750 copies. This limited series is recalled on the handlebar clamp. This clamp is engraved with the name of the motorcycle and its number in the series. Guzzi also wants to titillate the memory of its 750 S from 1974 – a wink for passionate enthusiasts of the brand.
