Overview
For half a century, Honda has been involved in motocross. For its public, the brand creates the CR 250 M Elsinore. This machine responds to the growing increase in motocross races in the USA and in Europe. Equipped with a 2-stroke engine, the Elsinore marks Honda’s very first series incursion into this discipline. It will meet immediate success thanks to its ease of handling and use, its manufacturing quality and its reliability. Among the tools put in place during the promotional campaign for this motorcycle, we will note a film in which a certain Steve McQueen participated.
The 2023 model year marks the 50th anniversary of the motorcycle that started it all. Produced in a limited series, the CRF 450 R « 50th Anniversary » pays homage to the powerful CRs of the 1980s while respecting the principle established 50 years ago: to remain a true race machine accessible to all. The 2023 CRF 450 R benefits from a more powerful engine in the mid-range and a revised chassis to turn faster. The main differences of the 50th edition compared to the standard machine are as follows:
- Blue seat cover - White number plates - Unique graphics for the radiator shrouds - Gold rims and handlebars - Metallic gray fork tops - Honda logo on the front fender
