Overview
With the 4.5 CRF, riders are entitled to a fine product in their hands. Rather than pursuing pure power, Honda has chosen to make the watts exploitable in all circumstances. In recent years, it has set itself the mission of redefining the notions of balance between engine and chassis, with high but exploitable power, combined with a cycle section that allows riders of all levels to make the most of the slightest fraction of this power. From the rider's point of view, whether amateur or competitor, the CRF 450 R has always been a machine offering both total control in addition to the robustness and longevity that define the brand. Somewhat hampered by the competition in recent years, the CRF 450 R is taking things back into its own hands for the 2025 version.
Characteristics of the Honda CRF 450 R 2025
Reinforcing stability and control on the most difficult terrains was part of the objectives of the new CRF 450 R. The aluminum double-beam frame is 70% new, with a completely revised rigidity distribution, new attachment points on the lower cradle, new lower and upper tés, a new front wheel axle fixing, and new ratios for the Pro-Link rear suspension.
Showa suspensions have been deeply reworked in order to guarantee constant reactions throughout their stroke. The 49 mm fork and the rear monoshock have new settings, while this same monoshock is now much easier to disassemble. At the front, HRC provided the plans for a new brake caliper that stands out with new machining, new pistons, and new grooves for the seals, all in order to better resist overheating during a race.
For better control of the throttle, power, and behavior, the Unicam 4-valve single-cylinder now uses a more direct intake tract, a longer exhaust manifold, and new PGM-FI injection settings. Simultaneously, the exhaust silencer meets the new sound standards dictated by the FIM.
Regarding bodywork, new graphics, a new design for the side covers and radiator cowls, and the presence of a Honda wing on the front fender symbolize the new CRF 450 R 2025.

Cycle section
The CRF 450 R 2025 – whose previous generations are already appreciated for their efficiency and liveliness – sees its behavior further improved with greater stability in a straight line and in corners, but also with a more supple and comfortable feel. This is thanks to a revised frame geometry and new suspension settings.
