Overview
Within the Sportster range, this new Nightster could resemble a little rascal. Stripped down, minimalist, compact like a nasty dog ready to bite a knee, it seizes the Bobber spirit of some of today’s and post-war large Harley-Davidsons. A low seat, lowered suspensions, few chrome parts, a threatening black… the Nightster seems to intimidate the asphalt before clearing its throat with its overhead valve 1200. The stylistic effect is not lacking, especially with its truncated rear fender, fork boot covers, a small tank, and the open belt guard. The ultimate touch? We hesitate between the relocated license plate holder or the headlight integrated into the turn signals; all that to leave the rear fender blank. No, the ultimate touch remains, of course, the American twin. Sporty, it also delivers a drier sound thanks to the specific exhaust systems of the XL 1200 N. Even if it is mounted on rubber blocks, the twin allows itself to diffuse the appropriate vibrations with style. Character, emotion, and a devilish face, the Nightster becomes the bad boy of the Sportster family.
