Overview
With its Heavy Breather air intake system, the CVO Road Glide Custom twin exudes a dragster-inspired appearance. However, that is not its purpose, even though there are nearly 100 horsepower in the connecting rods and a large scoop of torque (over 16 mkg). The ideal of the Twin Cam 110 is to powerfully and emotionally propel this cruiser with its very particular style. The Shark-nose fairing head is not fixed to the steering column (as on the Electra models) but to the frame itself, thus lightening the steering. Produced in 2,100 units, the Road Glide Custom pampered by Custom Vehicle Operations is flamboyant to the eye and burning to the wallet. Plan on a check for 34,000 euros…
Key features of the CVO Road Glide Custom:
- The Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam 110™ engine, with a displacement of 1,803 cm3, mounted in the frame on rubber supports, delivers a torque of 162 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The engine is equipped with an electronic sequential fuel injection system (ESPFI), an electronic throttle control (ETC), and benefits from a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission.
- Engine air intake system named Heavy Breather with black aluminum cover and bright aluminum accents applied to the air filter.
- Double chrome exhaust including 4-inch Touring mufflers with cast aluminum black tips and chrome stubs.
- Dynamic audio system delivering 100 watts of power per channel (200 watts total) and including an MTX bidirectional device, 5 x 7-inch speakers mounted in the fairing, and two 2-inch tweeter speakers on the dashboard. The amplifier is located in the fairing. Advanced Harman/Kardon dynamic audio system with CD/AM/FM/WB. The system includes an 8 GB Apple iPod nano engraved with the “Bar and Shield” logo, an iPod radio interface, and an iPod mount housed in the right saddlebag.
