Overview

Who doesn’t know Lamborghini, one of the most famous sports car manufacturers?! The story of a man who challenged Enzo Ferrari, the legend of V12 engines in cars brimming with character, a style paying homage to the best fighter jets, an emblem imbued with strength and passion.

Ducati decided to marry one of its productions with the latest car from its neighbor. The result of this union is the Diavel 1260 S Lamborghini Edition. City neighbors as well as family: the two brands are only 20 km from each other; and both are part of the Volkswagen group.

The Diavel is not a newcomer to car marriages. It previously flirted with the AMG house. This time, the alliance is both symbiotic and symbolic. This Diavel multiplies the winks to the Lamborghini Siàn FKP 37 – a 819 horsepower monster. The superb wheels, unprecedented in the range, reproduce exactly the same design as those of the car. Continuing the mimicry, the Brembo M50 brake calipers are painted red and the exhaust pipe receives a Y-shaped carbon fiber skin; the thematic letter of the design of this Lambo.

The main colors are common to both models. Gea Green for the bodywork, and an Electrum Gold that the Siàn mainly uses for its wheels, while Ducati uses it for its frame, forged rims, an insert in the seat and under the seat. A cocktail of bold colors where a good portion of noble material blends with nobility.

Ducati pushed the style to the point of modifying the air intakes and radiator ducts to identify them with certain elements of the same vein on the car. They are made of carbon fiber, as is the belly pan, the mudguards, the fuel tank cover, the seat cover, the headlight surround, the instrument cowl and the silencer packaging.

The famous logo adorned with a bull is reproduced on the tank as well as in the introduction animation on the screen. When switched on, the 3.5-inch TFT screen presents the emblem of each house side by side. And then there's this number, 63. It’s not chosen at random. Only 63 Siàn FKP 37s will be manufactured, in homage to the automotive division created in 1963. The company was born earlier, in 1948 – Ferrucio Lamborghini initially exercised his activity in tractors. Also produced in a limited series, the Diavel will have many offspring. 630 units will leave the Borgo Panigale factory, at a price as exorbitant as the performance of the Siàn. Let's specify that the motorcycle's price is fifty times lower than that of the car.

The Diavel Lamborghini Edition, being based on the 1260 S model, enjoys a package of elements playing on its quality and added value. It is fully equipped with Öhlins, with a large 48 mm inverted fork and a single shock absorber, both fully adjustable. In addition to its large horsepower, the 1262 cm3 twin with variable distribution delivers 13.2 mkg of torque. Electronically, it’s a party: quickshifter, riding modes, 6-axis IMU, traction control, cornering ABS, anti-wheelie, power modes, keyless start, daytime running light signature, launch control, backlit switches, full LED lighting, cruise control and multimedia system.

Ducati has also designed a matching jet helmet for the motorcycle. As an accessory, it’s not even included… Other fun little facts, the enormous 240 mm rear tire of the Diavel is a little bit narrower than… a front tire of the Lambo. The Ducati could take offense and give a rearview mirror blow to the Lamborghini - Missed; it would pass over the roof because it’s so low.
