Overview
When Aprilia launched the Shiver SL 750, nobody wondered whether it could do more than carve corners on the weekend. It was a pure naked, uncompromising, built for attack. The GT version changes the game without betraying the spirit.

The addition of a headlight fairing changes the way you look at the machine. The integration is clean, the line remains coherent with the overall design, and the tall screen does its job without turning the Shiver into a disguised tourer. On the motorway, on windy back roads, this protection is enough to make long distances bearable. It's not a full fairing — it's a practical argument, well measured.
Beneath this understated grand touring veneer, the heart remains intact. The 749.90 cc V-twin develops 95 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 80.90 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. Those figures, on a motorcycle weighing under 192 kg fully fuelled, produce a power-to-weight ratio that many competitors in the segment eye with envy. The Ducati Monster 796 of the era runs in similar waters, but the 2010 Shiver GT adds a factory engine guard and, crucially, an optional dual-channel ABS — rare in this segment at this price point. For the aprilia shiver 750 gt 2010 spec sheet, it's a feature that carries real weight in the buying decision.
The steel tubular trellis frame with aluminium plates, the 43 mm inverted fork with 120 mm of travel, the twin front discs — none of that changed from the SL. That's the good news. The GT doesn't dilute the recipe; it broadens it. The new aprilia shiver 750 gt price in 2010 stood at €8,199, roughly €400 more than the standard version — a reasonable sum for what the transformation genuinely delivers.

This is not a bike for beginners. The 810 mm seat height and the temperament of the V-twin with its 11.0:1 compression ratio clearly point toward a rider who already has a few seasons under their belt. But for the versatile motorcyclist who refuses to choose between riding pleasure and everyday use, a used aprilia shiver 750 gt remains a serious option worth exploring today. It doesn't have the fame of a Monster, it doesn't have the sales volumes of a Hornet, and that's precisely what makes it an endearing, characterful machine — with a personality that time has not erased.
