Overview
For a long time, the Shiver carried the label of a pure and uncompromising naked, a raw sensation machine reserved for weekend outings. The GT version changes the equation without betraying the model's DNA. Aprilia kept a light touch on the modifications: a fairing headstock integrated with care, a generous windscreen that cuts the wind over long stretches ridden in one go, and an engine spoiler that completes the package. The result looks less like a radical transformation than a well-assumed maturity.

The 750 cc V-twin remains the central argument. Its 95 horsepower delivered at 9000 rpm and 80.90 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm make the Shiver 750 GT a straightforward machine with no pretense. The modular steel trellis frame combined with aluminum side plates ensures rigidity consistent with this temperament, while the 43 mm inverted fork and the rear shock absorber adjustable in preload and rebound deliver a correct balance between touring comfort and cornering precision. It is far from the equipment of a full tourer, but that is precisely the point.
Where a Ducati Monster 796 or a Triumph Street Triple rely on a more compact form factor, the Shiver tips the scales at 189 kg dry and a seat height of 810 mm that will not suit every rider's build. The dual-channel ABS, now standard on this GT, reassures without unnecessarily weighing down the machine's philosophy. The announced top speed of 220 km/h and the 16-liter tank open up prospects for more ambitious journeys than the base SL version ever suggested.

Priced at 8,799 euros, the tariff represents a reasonable premium over the standard version. For that price, one gets a naked capable of holding its own on the motorway without turning its rider into a statue, while retaining the dynamic qualities that built the reputation of the Aprilia Shiver 750 GT. It is an honest proposition, tailored for the versatile rider who refuses to choose between morning thrills and evening efficiency. Neither tourist nor track-day devotee, the GT occupies this middle ground with a certain coherence.
