Overview
With the Thunderbird, lovers of large cruisers can experience something other than Milwaukee’s immutable V-twin. The Storm version delves into the dark side, hinting at a desire for rebellion. Triumph wanted to go even further with the Nightstorm special series.
Just like the Storm, the personality asserts itself with the menacing twin headlights, the V-twin engine increased to 1699 cm3, 98 horsepower at only 5,200 rpm, a large amount of torque approaching 16 mkg, but even more black. From end to end of the exhaust pipes, the handlebars, the foot pedal plates for the brake and gear selector, the mirrors; they are all immersed in the night. A new ribbed seat is installed, lower and more comfortable. The fuel tank, for its part, offers a touch of audacity: a hand-painted "Flamming" pattern produces a particular glitter effect. Menacing, dark, and admirable, this Thunderbird Nightstorm takes you cruising between the rumble and the storm.
