Overview
You’ve ridden a locomotive before? Then get on board. The Triumph Rocket 3 Storm GT doesn’t introduce itself; it asserts itself. Imagine a 2458 cm3 block, a 2.5-liter inline three-cylinder engine producing 182 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque. In the motorcycle world, to find more, you’d have to look at a Boss Hoss with its Chevrolet V8 engine. It’s this excess, this raw extravagance, that has defined this machine for two decades. But the 2025 version, with its Storm suffix, adds a nuance of blackened fury to this legend.

The Storm transformation is primarily mechanical. Triumph reworked the camshafts, valves, and compression ratio to extract an additional 15 horsepower and 4 Nm of torque. Power arrives a little higher, around 7000 rpm, but the monster remains a tractor from the first revs. This evolution even allows it to meet Euro 5+ standards without losing its deep voice. The rest of the chassis remains faithful to the proven formula: an aluminum frame, a 47 mm inverted Showa fork, and an adjustable monoshock. The innovations focus on lighter wheels and Metzeler Cruisetec tires, while Brembo Stylema brakes, worthy of a hypersport, ensure authoritative control over the 320 kg fully fueled.
This is where the GT version distinguishes itself. It positions itself as the most comfortable custom in the Rocket family. The handlebar is brought closer to you, the footpegs are adjustable, and the 750 mm seat offers a lower and more welcoming seat. A short screen, a sissy-bar, and soft saddlebags complete the touring equipment. It even includes heated grips as standard. The riding position is that of a classic custom, but with ergonomics that allow for real distances to be considered, despite a fuel tank of only 18 liters. The target audience? Road warriors who don’t want to sacrifice raw sensation, cruiser enthusiasts looking for a unique vehicle, but not beginners: 320 kg and 225 Nm demand respect.
The electronics are rich but not extravagant. The four riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control, and TFT display are present. Triumph wisely avoided gadgets like a launch control, which would probably be too brutal for this engine. The Storm aesthetics play the card of total black: frame, exhausts, controls, almost everything is dark, except for a few metallic accents. This gives the machine the look of a frozen storm, consistent with its name.
At €26,195, the Triumph Rocket 3 Storm GT 2025 is not an affordable motorcycle. It costs more than the R version, but offers this extra comfort and distinctive dark finish. Faced with American or Japanese cruisers, it has no direct competitor in terms of displacement and character. It is a niche proposition: a monument of power and torque, dressed for travel. Its major drawback remains its weight and stated consumption, but its qualities are an incomparable presence and a feeling of power that defies comparison in the motorcycle world. It’s a statement, not simply a vehicle.
