Overview

Voilà a moment you've been circling a Street Glide Limited. You gauge, you doubt, you grumble... because you need more. Better, you want to indulge it in luxury. So, it's almost imperative to change lanes, to move all the sliders to the top and approach the CVO 121 Street Glide Limited. There, you culminate the pyramid of Harley Tourers.

This is immediately felt with its premium paint schemes. A beautiful “Electric Coast” blue embellished with chrome or the “Citrus Heat” finish soaked in black. The latter increases your credit by the same amount as a 400. Except that money isn't the primary concern. At the Custom Vehicle Operations department, the attention to finish is beyond the specifications.

Its operators will then draw from the Carbide collection to add more stylish elements for the heated grips, footpegs (standard, forward for cruising, and passenger), the dual-branch gear selector, as well as a brake lever protector. Comfort is enhanced with a higher-quality seat, bearing the CVO logo and complemented by a backrest for the rider. The sound system also progresses with a Rockford Fosgate stage II ensemble with 6 speakers and 1100 watts of auditorium.

The senses will be much more attentive to the metallic organ under the tank. The M8 121 VVT is the largest engine you can find at Harley and one of the most powerful (with the exception of the confidential Road Glide RR). Colored inserts announce a temperament full of growl and depth. A turn of the starter, fumes of gasoline, and the two bowls churn in 1977 cm3 of American belly. With the Variable Valve Timing valve timing system, the power range is expanded to make the most of this huge block. The Street Glide Limited CVO promises you 18.6 mkg of torque and 115 hp; that's almost 1 mkg, 8 hp, and 54 cm3 more than the standard model.

A CVO is also now a sharper chassis. The front end is very different with a 47 mm inverted fork and radial Brembo 4-piston brake calipers. A stiffer, more precise, more sporty direction even, and fundamentally surprising. It seems that the ST models have left their mark on the minds of the MoCo.

This Street Glide carries an additional riding Mode, customizable. Which means that the rider here has 2 custom Modes in addition to Rain, Road, and Sport. The core of the electronics relies on the same dentition as the original model: immense 31.2 cm Skyline screen, integrated navigation, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ABS cornering, tire pressure monitoring, traction control, keyless start, linked braking, hill hold control, rear wheel torque control, etc.

You are now at the top of the Tourer at Harley. You have also just taken out a mortgage on the shack. If you look at the other models of the CVO clan, you will find more sporty ones with the ST, more bagger, or even Trike, but not better for cruising latitudes.

And even after all that and decades of range evolution, it is still not possible to put a helmet in a suitcase. And in the new Tour-Pak? No problem, there is room for two. Let's take this aside to see the riding Modes:
