Overview
When a French brand known for its affordable small-displacement machines decides to play in the real middleweights arena, a degree of skepticism is warranted. Mash, whose catalog until now smelled pleasantly of accessible retro bikes and city scooters, takes a serious step up with the K750. Called the Jedi K 750 in some markets, this machine carries ambitions that its price — €6,899 — makes immediately impossible to ignore.

Under the fairing, a 730 cc parallel twin develops 74.8 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 69.6 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. That's not a spec sheet that has the Yamaha MT-07 or the Honda CB750 Hornet shaking in their boots, but it's not the profile of an anemic machine either. The 12.2:1 compression ratio, with an 83 mm bore and 67.5 mm stroke, yields a near-square engine tuned to rev freely rather than push hard at the bottom of the range. A six-speed gearbox and chain drive round out a mechanically conventional yet coherent package. The claimed top speed of 205 km/h places the K750 firmly in the sport roadster segment, not among the Sunday cruisers.
Where Mash scores concrete points is the chassis. An aluminum perimeter frame, a 42 mm inverted fork with 100 mm of travel, a single-sided swingarm paired with a monoshock, and Brembo M4.32 calipers up front: we're talking about a specification that far exceeds what you'd expect at this price point. The Brembo M4.32 is not generic hardware — it's the same reference found on machines that sell for twice the price. The weight, 217 kg fully fueled versus 206 kg dry, sits at the higher end of the segment average, meaning it won't thread through traffic like a light 650, but it won't overwhelm a rider of average build either.

The question that remains open is one of finish quality and long-term reliability. Mash outsources its production to China, like many European brands at this positioning, and the marque's track record on larger-displacement machines is still thin. Compared to a Kawasaki Z650 or a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 refined by years of real-world feedback, the K750 starts with the disadvantage of the newcomer. The aftersales network, parts availability, engine behavior past 30,000 km — these are unknowns that raw specification figures do nothing to resolve.

Who is this K750 relevant for? For the intermediate rider who wants a real motorcycle, not just a handsome promise, and who watches the price column closely. Someone who has already ridden and wants to step up in displacement without bleeding money at the dealership. The Brembo package and the aluminum frame lean clearly toward sporty use, perhaps even the occasional track day, but the 14-liter tank and the range that comes with it also suggest serious everyday usability. This is not a beginner's motorcycle — the power and weight demand experience — nor is it for the purist who insists on an impeccable pedigree. It's a straightforward proposition for those who want a lot of motorcycle for under €7,000, accepting the bet on a brand still in the process of proving what it's worth over the long haul.
