Overview
As the name of this special series suggests, it has been 10 years since the Moto Guzzi V7 Racer was revealed. It made a strong impression at the time. Entirely chromed, entirely shiny, with that red frame, number plates, and clip-on handlebars to catch the rider’s hands, the bike played with personalization and provocation.
The V7 is now in its 3rd version and hasn’t aged a bit. The Cafra version celebrates its first decade with this more typical edition. At the forefront, the adoption of an old-fashioned fork. A small sporty touch that will only protect the nose and gauges; but what a look!
Over time, the Italian had lost some of its shine, allowing black to invade its exhaust pipes, its engine, and some trim pieces. The fuel tank, for its part, had taken on a satin veil to sprinkle its brilliance. The 10th anniversary restores its bright chrome on the saddlebag. The n°7 has also returned, but not the anodizing on the wheel rims. The motorcycle gains mirrors fixed on the ends of the handlebars, red stitching on the seat, a shortened rear fender, fully LED lights, and passenger footpegs.
A small refinement, the foot controls are adjustable. On the other hand, it is difficult to understand and even less acceptable that the Öhlins shock absorbers have disappeared. Special series tend to do the opposite. Tire mounting is now entrusted to Dunlop Arrowmax Streetsmart.
