Overview
When a relatively confidential Spanish brand tackles the 125 cm³ segment with a flat tracker aesthetic, it plays on a field where the competition is not lacking in arguments. Macbor, whose models circulate mainly under the radar of major brands, offers with the Rockster Flat 125 EVO 2025 a machine that clearly acknowledges its lineage with dirt trackers, all dressed for the road and compliant with Euro 5+.

Under the 13.5-liter tank, there is a 124.70 cc 4-stroke single-cylinder engine developing 12.2 horsepower at 9,500 rpm, which is the legal limit for the A1 category. The torque of 9.80 Nm arrives at 6,500 rpm, which places the Macbor in the average of the segment, neither lightning fast nor anemic. The 6-speed gearbox allows proper exploitation of this small block with an almost perfect square bore (52.4 x 57.8 mm) and a compression ratio of 9.5:1. The announced top speed of 105 km/h allows for occasional highway journeys, without making it a habit. Faced with a Honda CB125R or a Yamaha MT-125 which display more modern engines and premium finishes, the Rockster Flat plays another card: visual identity and a contained price of 2,699 euros.
The steel tubular chassis perfectly matches the machine's neo-retro register. The 37 mm diameter telescopic fork and the two rear lateral shock absorbers do not promise the agility of a supermotard, but are amply sufficient for daily urban and suburban use. The single disc braking system, without ABS mentioned in the specifications, deserves attention, especially for a young A1 license audience who constitute the obvious target of this model.
It is precisely there that the honesty of the proposal is located: the Rockster Flat 125 EVO is aimed at young riders seduced by the scrambler-tracker aesthetic, who want to stand out from the omnipresent Japanese 125s without blowing their budget. At 2,699 euros, it positions Macbor below most of its direct rivals, which constitutes its strongest commercial argument. The downside is a still limited brand awareness and an after-sales network that is worth checking before any purchase, especially in the provinces.

Macbor's bet remains consistent. The Rockster Flat 125 EVO 2025 does not seek to revolutionize the category, it offers a captivating format at an accessible price, with correct technical specifications and Euro 5+ compliance which ensures it a few years of serene commercialization. For a young rider who wants style without breaking the bank, and who accepts to compromise with a less reassuring brand than a large Asian cylinder, the proposal seriously deserves a look.
