Overview
Not everything would be a backpack story? Put in a knife, a water bottle, a map and go out. Adventure is everywhere: around the corner, in a corner of the Andes, on the other side of the forest or facing an administrative file. A backpack for some, a pair of saddlebags for others. This is the case for Kawasaki’s little trail bike, determined to embark on a globetrotter’s excursion.
Alright, let’s immediately forget about the connection to Caracas or Timbuktu. With its 296 cm3 twin cylinder, the Versys-X doesn’t plan on doing Grand Touring. Its 40 horsepower will, however, be able to handle the daily work. Where this Adventure version stands out is with its additional equipment. And its pair of 17-liter saddlebags each. A few items will find space for a hearty picnic but not enough to set up a bivouac... But you want adventure, yes or no!?! The kind that scrapes the highlights and makes you shiver under the stars. However, it would be wrong to discard the motorcycle. Hence the protruding lateral crash bars. A spill is so quickly arrived when you leave the muddy trails... Handguards are a good thing for the appearance as well as a gain in protection. The tank can also protect itself from a few scratches with a gel appliqué. And to provide assistance in the evening after a stifling stage... or to grease the chain quietly, a center stand completes the Adventure pack of the Versys-X 300.
Without seeking to fulfill itself beyond borders, this accessorized trail bike can distill a scent of adventure in everyday life. To carry the gear of the day or to go on an excursion along the edges of the trails, it believes in it. There remains a price that remains significant for a displacement category that struggles to find its audience.
