Kawasaki KX450 50th Anniversary Edition 2024 — Specifications

The KX 450 celebrates the anniversary of its dynasty with this 50th Anniversary livery. Motocross itself began a little earlier for Kawasaki, with the TR 250, also known as the F11 in the early 1970s. But it was in 1974 that the KX designation appeared. Since then, numerous titles and victories have followed: 63 AMA motocross and Supercross American championships, 720 race wins, and a few famous names at its handlebars. Stefan Everts, Sebastian Tortelli, Mickael Maschio, Christophe Pourcel, Courtney Duncan, Jeff Ward, Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto, or Eli Tomac have pushed the KX to its limits.

For the graphics, Kawa drew on the memories of the 1990s with a calligraphy and colors of that era. The same goes for the blue seat, all stimulating an ensemble that seems to come from a pop-rock album with Michael Jackson, Genesis, Benny B, U2, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Madonna....A "Uni-track" sticker on the swingarm recalls this rear suspension system invented by Kawa in 1979.

The KX 450 50th anniversary also has locations to inscribe race numbers, a domain where it has thrived for so many years. Besides this revival livery, the KX does not offer additional equipment or a more refined preparation. But there is already plenty to have fun with, with one of the most docile singles on the market.
