Overview
Motorcycle: Honda CRF125F (2025)
After the symbolic age of 10, young riders already a bit seasoned will want something more lively in off-road riding. Following the initial steps in the CRF range, you find the first 125, four-stroke. With its performance and design directly inspired by the larger displacement models in the range, the CRF 125 F constitutes a good stepping stone for those who want to move from the small CRF 110 F to a machine better suited to their age and build.
Available in France in its "large wheels" version, the CRF 125 F benefits from graphics that have been very slightly retouched, in line with the larger displacement models in the range.
Chassis
The CRF 125 F has a steel double-beam frame whose architecture is directly inspired by that of the CRF 250 R and CRF 450 R for optimal balance between rigidity and flexibility.
The Showa inverted fork with ø 31mm ensures effective and reassuring handling with 168mm of travel. It is associated with a mono-shock absorber and a Pro-Link system, also synonymous with efficiency and comfort. At the front, in 19 inches, the front wheel contributes to maneuverability and traction while the rear wheel prioritizes agility and traction.
The single hydraulic front disc with ø 220mm is supported by the rear drum with ø 95mm to guarantee progressive and effective braking.
Like every member of the Honda off-road range, the CRF 125 F proudly claims its heritage. The 4.5-liter metal fuel tank - which integrates the fuel pump and its filter - is protected by the frame design in the event of a fall. Inspired by that of the CRF 450 R, the bodywork is topped with a 785 mm high seat complemented by a wide handlebar with knurled grips, perfect for small hands. The multifunctional switch installed on the handlebar integrates the starter button, the ignition power-on indicator, the injection system indicator and the reserve indicator, which lights up when only one liter of fuel remains. The brake lever is adjustable for greater comfort and performance.
Engine
The CRF125F is powered by a 124.9cm3 single-cylinder, single-overhead-camshaft four-stroke engine that delivers progressive and easy-to-exploit power.
The bore and stroke values are set at 52.4 x 57.9mm with a compression ratio of 9 to 1. The Keihin electronic fuel injection system ensures constant and linear performance at all speeds and whatever the throttle opening.
The CRF 125 F gearbox includes 4 speeds whose ratios perfectly match the characteristics of the engine, conditioning exploitable performance on any gear.
Finally, the electric starter - assisted by a kick starter - adds to ease of use.
