Overview

Imagine a machine capable of navigating a congested city center on a Tuesday morning, then tackling a rutted forest track the following weekend, without ever asking you to swap bikes. That is precisely the bet Honda has been making for several years with this peculiar two-wheeled animal, and the 2025 model year further refines the proposition.

Honda 750 X-ADV DCT

The X-ADV occupies a niche it largely helped create: the adventure maxi-scooter. No direct competitor truly contests this territory, which is both a strength and a limitation. On the styling front, the 2025 redesign sharpens the lines: the front LED optics now integrate the turn signals into the daytime running lights, a first on a powered two-wheeler according to Honda. The result is more chiseled, more aggressive, less "beach resort bubble." The seat has also been thoroughly reworked, with denser foam and a shape that makes it easier to put your feet flat on the ground — a genuine concern when you're talking about 237 kg fully fueled and a seat height of 820 mm.

The 270-degree parallel twin develops 58 horsepower at 6,750 rpm and, more importantly, 69.6 Nm of torque available from 4,750 rpm. These figures don't turn heads on paper, but they reflect an engine built for real-world use — flexible, frugal, and never short of resources in the mid-range. The dual-clutch DCT gearbox, revised for smoother low-speed transitions, makes complete sense here: in the city it is simply undetectable, and on the road it anticipates downshifts with a logic that matches the selected riding mode. Five modes are on the menu, including a GRAVEL setting calibrated for uncertain surfaces and a fully configurable USER mode. The HSTC torque control has also been refined, with levels 1 and 3 recalibrated to intervene less abruptly than before.

Honda 750 X-ADV DCT

The electronics package steps up a notch with a 5-inch TFT screen readable in direct sunlight, operated by a backlit four-axis scroll wheel. Honda RoadSync connectivity is carried over, and cruise control makes its debut in 2025, working in concert with the DCT for motorway miles in relaxed comfort. The 22-liter storage compartment now includes a USB-C port, a detail that matters for riders permanently tethered to their devices.

The chassis is built around a steel tubular frame, a 41 mm inverted fork with 153 mm of travel, and a Pro-Link monoshock tuned to absorb irregularities without turning the rider into a cocktail shaker. The asymmetric wheels — 17 inches at the front and 15 at the rear — reflect this hybrid positioning: versatile rather than specialized. Braking is handled by Nissin, with dual 296 mm discs and radial four-piston calipers up front providing stopping power beyond question. At €12,999, the X-ADV targets a very specific audience: the urban rider who refuses to choose between scooter comfort and the freedom to explore. It is neither the lightest nor the most powerful machine in its category, but in this particular register, it simply has no rival of its stature.
