Overview
Imagine a Honda engineer caught between two contradictory briefs, one demanding a premium city scooter, the other a trail bike capable of swallowing up broken tracks. The X-ADV 750 is the result of that assumed dilemma, and it must be said — or rather, let's simply say Honda was right not to choose sides.

The 2026 model year refines an already proven formula. The silhouette gains a sharper edge thanks to reworked bodywork, and the dual LED front lighting now integrates turn signals into the daytime running lights — a first on a two-wheeler. It's not merely an aesthetic gimmick; it's a strong statement about the machine's visual identity. Faced with the neutrality of the Yamaha TMAX 560 Tech MAX or the Germanic restraint of the BMW C 650 GT, the X-ADV chooses to stand out, visually and conceptually.
Beneath the fairing, the parallel-twin with its 270-degree firing order still displaces 745 cc to deliver 58 horsepower at 6,750 rpm and, more importantly, 69.6 Nm of torque available from as low as 4,750 rpm. This staggered firing interval, borrowed from trail bikes, gives the engine a pulsating character quite removed from the smooth purr of a conventional scooter. The engine responds willingly in the mid-range, where 80% of urban and suburban riding takes place. Paired with the 6-speed DCT gearbox — whose shift mapping has been softened at low speeds for this version — the combination delivers a disarmingly fluid riding experience. You get on, roll the throttle, and move forward. The cruise control, now standard equipment, turns long-distance riding into a motorized armchair experience.
The onboard electronics deserve closer attention. Four preset riding modes — STANDARD, SPORT, RAIN, and GRAVEL — modulate power delivery, engine braking, and the intensity of the HSTC torque control across three intervention levels. USER mode allows for deeper customization, with five possible combinations. The Throttle By Wire system manages all of this with a precision that makes transitions virtually imperceptible. The 5-inch TFT screen, readable in direct sunlight, centralizes navigation through the RoadSync app and controls everything via a backlit four-way joystick. At €13,000, this is firmly in the premium segment, but the equipment level justifies the price tag.

The chassis remains a tubular steel construction — rigid and well-behaved — which the 41 mm inverted fork with 153 mm of travel and the Pro-Link single shock with 150 mm of travel transform into a versatile tool. The 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheels, combined with Nissin four-piston calipers gripping 296 mm discs, deliver reassuring bite without ever feeling aggressive. The 237 kg wet weight fades away while riding, but reminds you of its presence during low-speed maneuvers, with the seat sitting 820 mm from the ground. This remains the primary grievance from shorter riders or beginners, and it deserves an honest mention.
The X-ADV 750 targets a specific audience: the experienced rider who wants a single vehicle capable of handling the weekly commute, weekend runs on winding roads, and multi-day getaways with luggage. The 13.2-liter tank limits range to around 300 km on the road, which doesn't make it a true long-distance tourer in the strict sense, but is sufficient for the vast majority of use cases. In this hybrid trail-scooter segment, it has no real direct competitor. That is both its commercial strength and its technical limitation: by trying to do everything, it will never be as nimble as a pure scooter nor as endurance-ready as a trail bike wearing 19-inch wheels. But this compromise is one Honda has been mastering for years, and the 2026 version pushes it one step further in terms of refinement.
