Harley-Davidson Dyna Switchback 2016 — Specifications

The 103 ci Switchback could be likened to a bridge between the Dyna and the larger Touring models from the Milwaukee manufacturer. Like the superb (and very expensive) Convertible, the Switchback benefits from the lightness of the Dyna models with a touch of equipment to venture on the road while protecting Monsieur’s torso and carrying Madame’s belongings. Its large chrome headlight topped with a removable windshield gives it all the presence of a Road King, while the finesse of the rear would pass for a Baby Street Glide. Its hips are a pair of rigid saddlebags, they too are removable. The American is shod in chrome wheels with black spokes.

Regarding the engine, the Twin Cam benefits from its 1690 cm3, well fat and well torquey. It is, however, a little less powerful than most other models equipped with this block: it provides 126 Nm of torque on the Switchback, whereas 132 Nm are found on a Wide Glide, for example. Transmission is, of course, by belt, engaged to a 6-speed gearbox. A true little invitation to travel, this Harley will be perfect for those who want to venture into the great outdoors but hesitate to afford a Touring (Electra, Street or Road King), more majestic but also more imposing in size.
