Overview
With this ostentatious and glittering CVO version, the Softail Deluxe more than deserves its name. Overflowing with luxury and nostalgia, one of the most vintage of the Harley-Davidson motorcycles claims here everything one can expect from a motorcycle of strong pedigree. Its ascent within the CVO clan earns it to be equipped with what Milwaukee can do best. Enough to make you want even more when you are satiated.
Superb from end to end of its chrome, the CVO Deluxe has chosen Art Deco paints with a pronounced and perfectly executed taste. Its equipment begins with a selection of parts from the Slipstream collection, such as grips, gear lever tips, brake pedal, footrests for the rider and footrests for the passenger. The wheels alone are a treat for enthusiasts: beautiful 9-spoke aluminum and chrome rims, "circumferenced" with whitewall tires. Metal, but also leather. The rider and passenger seats are hand-shaped and the saddlebags are made of the same material. As for the large windshield, it features a Road Tech zumo 660 GPS with custom Harley software. Transformative, the Softail Deluxe changes style like your mood. It takes little time and a minimum of manpower to remove the saddlebags, the backrest, the luggage rack and the windshield; and thus stroll on the sunny coast.
Belonging to the CVO clan means rising to a level of demonstration of Harley-Davidson know-how. And it also means welcoming within its entrails the largest of the brand's twins. Two good helpings stir in 110 cubic inches, or 1803 cm3. It sparkles, it is a colossus, and it regurgitates more than 15 mkg of torque. Enough to satisfy all lovers of wrestling and Bourbon. Technologically savvy, the CVO 1800 Deluxe proudly displays it on its Hiawatha nacelle supporting a set of LED lights, including a very expressive Daymaker. Conversely, ABS and starter are totally invisible. The machine enjoys H-D Smart for keyless starting. Standard, there is also cruise control. Like all Softail models, the Deluxe takes advantage of 2015 to offer itself better braking, with a 300 mm front brake disc, a master cylinder and a redesigned caliper. It now takes 40% less effort to obtain optimum braking. The center stand benefits from a new profile to be better gripped. The temptation is great, the style too, the price also. Yet, when you eye a CVO, it is the price that you look at last.
