293 motorcycles. That is the number chosen by Ducati for this limited edition, and it is no coincidence: the 293 points accumulated by Marc Marquez during his 2025 MotoGP season were enough to crush a field that never found an answer. Bologna celebrates its champion in the way it knows best — the kind that makes bank accounts blush as readily as fairings.

The first thing that strikes you is the coherence of the presentation. Ducati did not slap two extra stickers on a standard Panigale V4 S and hope that would be enough. The livery faithfully reproduces that of the Desmosedici GP that dominated the circuits this season, sponsors included, the number 93 planted on the nose like a statement of intent. The cornering sidepods — those small aerodynamic appendages hugging the ground that help press the bike into corners — have even been integrated into the bodywork. A detail borrowed from the Panigale V4 R, an even more radical machine whose aesthetics willingly sacrifice visual appeal on the altar of lap times. Here, the silhouette remains beautiful, taut, desirable, without tipping into ungainly prototype territory.
Beneath the bodywork, it is the V4 S base that does the work, and that is no modest foundation. The 1103 cc 90-degree L-configuration V4, with its mandatory Twin Pulse firing order, develops 218.5 horsepower at 13,500 rpm for 122.1 Nm of torque. At 186.5 kg fully fuelled, the machine reaches the claimed 300 km/h — a figure that belongs more to theory than to road use. The semi-active Öhlins suspension, a 43 mm NPX 25/30 fork up front and a TTX36 monoshock at the rear, manages everything with surgical precision. The Brembo braking system entrusts two 338 mm discs and GP4 Sport Production calipers with the task of translating the rider's commands. All of this makes for a track motorcycle capable of being ridden on the road, not the other way around — and it is worth keeping that in mind before signing.

Because the signature, as it happens, is also Marquez's own, applied to the tank of each of the 293 examples. Ducati delivers the whole package in a wooden crate worth keeping, along with a certificate of authenticity, a protective cover, track components for those who want to go further, and an invitation to meet the champion at World Ducati Week 2026 or at a Grand Prix. This motorcycle is not bought — it is collected. The target audience is one that stores its machines in climate-controlled spaces, not underground car parks.

89,300 euros. The sum puts things in perspective. This Panigale V4 S MM93 Replica extends the lineage of editions dedicated to champions, from Fogarty to Bautista by way of Bagnaia — a tradition that transforms each title into a numbered luxury item. The question of value for money hardly applies at this level: you are not buying additional horsepower for that price, you are buying a piece of history and a serial number. For those who simply want to ride one of the best sportsbikes currently available, the standard V4 S at less than half the price does exactly the same job on track. But for the 293 buyers of this replica, that is precisely not the point.
