Overview
When Noale decides to strip away the civilized veneer it had awkwardly applied to the previous generation, the result is unambiguous. The Aprilia Tuono V4 2025 no longer seeks to please everyone. It targets riders who know what they want, those who may have tried a used Aprilia Tuono V4 before moving on to the new version, or those who have been following the evolution of this lineage since the Aprilia Tuono V4 2011. The stylistic message is clear: the detour through touring is over, back to the fundamentals.

The front end has been completely redesigned. The windscreen now plunges down to the headlights, eliminating any reference to the touring profile of the previous version. Aerodynamic appendages directly inspired by the paddock protrude from under the machine's nose, designed to generate 2.5 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. This isn't decoration; it's applied engineering. Redesigned flanks and reinforced fans support the V4's thermal dissipation, carefully avoiding grilling the rider's legs. The passenger seat, fairing, and subframe have disappeared. The rear light has also gone, its functions absorbed by multi-function turn signals. Those looking for an Aprilia Tuono V4 deco kit to personalize the beast will have a sober and angular base to work with.
The engine. This is where everything is played in this segment. The V4 claims 180 horsepower at 11,800 rpm and 121 Nm at 9,600 rpm, for a kerb weight of 209 kg. The ratio is brutal. Facing the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and the KTM 1390 SuperDuke R, the Tuono remains in the same orbit without seeking to compete with the carbureted blocks of the BMW M 1000 R or the Ducati Streetfighter V4. The positioning is deliberate. Aprilia wants an engine that delivers everything at mid-range, not a nervous, high-altitude machine unusable on the road. The result is a motorcycle with an aluminum twin-spar frame, a 43 mm Sachs fully adjustable fork, and an adjustable Sachs monoshock, which allows for serious work both on the track and on winding roads. Brembo M50 radial four-piston monoblock calipers do the job with precision, even if the competition is starting to offer more recent solutions. The Aprilia Tuono V4 test confirms that braking remains among the best in the category, but the choice of these calipers rather than Stylema raises a slight question.

Electronics constitute the real change in philosophy of this generation. The standard base includes an inertial platform, cornering ABS, and several riding modes. But launch control, adaptive cruise control, and some advanced functions have migrated to optional packages activatable via an application. The Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory pushes the concept even further with its own exclusive configurations. This can be seen as a problem, and some owners mentioning an Aprilia Tuono V4 problem related to overly complex electronics will appreciate this modular approach. It can also be seen as a questionable commercial approach. The truth is probably somewhere in between. The Aprilia Tuono V4 price of €16,439 positions the machine in the mid-range of the hyperfighter category, but you will need to reach for your credit card to access the functions that made the strength of the Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory 2020 or Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory 2021.

What doesn't change is the fundamental identity of the machine. Since its first versions, the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR has always represented a rare compromise between the pure requirements of the track and intensive daily use. The seat height at 825 mm remains accessible for a rider of average build, the announced consumption of 7.2 liters per hundred remains reasonable for the level of power. The 17.9-liter tank provides correct range. For an experienced rider looking for a motorcycle with a strong character, capable of swallowing a day in the Pyrenean passes before finishing with a track session, this Tuono is tailor-made. Beginners will pass their way. This is not a motorcycle that forgives; it is a motorcycle that rewards.
