Overview

Rossi has retired.........After an exceptional career, which makes him one of the greatest motorcycle champions of all time (if not THE greatest). A good portion of the pages of glory he has written have been with Yamaha. To celebrate all the happiness and victories shared, the manufacturer built and gave him a prepared R1 GYTR entirely dedicated to his master and bearing his nickname: the VR46.

The motorcycle is loaded with racing parts and already ready to hit the track. Its slick tires and lack of road equipment prevent it from going anywhere else. It is indeed between the vibreurs that it will give everything it has in its belly.

The livery of this R1 is in the image of the Doctor, extravagant and remarkable. Yam spared no expense and gives it a skin entirely in carbon. The detail of all the parts reveals that the motorcycle is very close to a World Superbike machine. This is in any case the path taken by the suspensions, with factory Öhlins components for the inverted fork as well as the shock absorber. The engine is factory tuned, receives a REX 140 ECU from Marelli and what it takes to spit out a few extra horsepower: the head gasket, radiator kit and complete Akrapovic line all come from the GYTR department.

The VR46 R1 also increases its efficiency with forged aluminum Marchesini wheels, a Brembo braking system from WSBK, a racing harness and controls, adjustable set-back footrests, even more carbon parts to save weight and a Chrome Lite competition race display. The latter greets the rider with a "Grazie Vale" when the dashboard is switched on.

This special gift will allow Vale to start his retirement with big sessions on the Misano circuit. With each lap, fans will remember his 425 race starts, his 115 victories and his 9 world championship titles.

We have valued this R1 GYTR VR46 at 70,000 euros...... It is certainly worth more. But you never say the price of a gift.
