Overview
Imagine a motor so colossal that you would almost have to house it lengthwise. We are not talking about a simple twin-cylinder engine, but a trio of oversized cylinders, a 2458 cm3 that pulverizes conventions. The Triumph Rocket 3 Storm R is not an update, it is a declaration of war on common sense. With 182 horsepower released at 7000 rpm and an apocalyptic torque of 225 Nm available from 4000 rpm, this English beast crushes the competition on paper, and above all, on the asphalt.

Its aesthetics follow the same logic of domination. The Storm R plunges into deep black, an almost integral treatment that swallows light, from the exhaust to the chassis, letting only a striking band of color escape on the tank. It is an intimidating physical presence, with its 240 mm wide rear tire that seems ripped from a show-bike. Yet, despite its 317 kg when fully fueled and its liner-like wheelbase, the Rocket has always played the surprise by proving surprisingly agile for what it is. The Storm R version accentuates this agility with redesigned and lightweight wheels, shod with Metzeler Cruisetec tires. The aluminum frame and fully adjustable Showa suspension form a robust assembly, capable of channeling this excess, while Brembo Stylema brakes at the front inspire absolute confidence in the face of such mass and power.
The real revolution, for this 2025 edition, lies under the hood. This engine, already insane, has been reworked to gain 15 horsepower compared to the standard versions, inheriting the madness formerly reserved for the ultra-exclusive TFC. A revised compression ratio, modified camshafts, all while passing the Euro 5+ standard without losing its soul. The electronics, complete but not intrusive, are there to tame the beast: cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control, and four riding modes. The hill-hold assist is welcome, as is the 773 mm seat that allows you to put your foot down without acrobatics, despite the machine's span.
So, who is this monster for? Certainly not a beginner, nor a motorcyclist seeking pure efficiency. The Rocket 3 Storm R is the ultimate weapon of the hedonist who measures pleasure in cubic meters of adrenaline and in the width of a smile. It is the exaggerated answer to a question that few dare to ask. With an 18-liter tank and consumption approaching 6.6L/100km, trips will be short but intense. As for the price of a Triumph Rocket 3 Storm R, it is justified by its unique character: count around €25,295 for this object of pure passion, an amount that places this fury well beyond its few rare rivals like certain overpowered American cruisers. It is an investment for those who want to own not just a motorcycle, but a legend at full throttle. Rumors concerning a possible Triumph Rocket 3 Storm R 2026 are for the time being just that, rumors, leaving room for the current version to reign without sharing in its small world of excess.
