Overview
MV Agusta’s new developments are becoming increasingly rare... The F4’s development is frozen.... There is more talk of partnerships, money and bling-bling than of motorcycles. But the brand knows how to play on its prestige. And associate its name with renowned figures. Agostini, Senna, and more recently Lewis Hamilton. The Formula 1 driver had lent his name to a limited series of 800 Dragster RR. Mr 44 and MV are at it again for this sumptuous F4 1000 LH 44.
The motorcycle blinds the retina, is cut with violence and expresses all its bestiality. This sportbike exudes blood. And its decoration is displayed at the limit of being too flashy. Fatal! Like a poisoned wine that you absolutely want to drink. But here, no toxic – just drugs. This special series is based on the F4 RC, which is nothing less than the homologation machine for the Superbike. The engine expresses a truly formidable fury. 205 horsepower to terrify your spinal cord, and 212 at maximum with the SC Project titanium silencer and the appropriate ECU. All the components are worth dying for: 43 mm Öhlins NIX inverted fork (here in black sleeves), Öhlins TTX36 shock absorber, Brembo M50 calipers, carbon fiber fairing and various parts, and to justify the "Lewis Hamilton" name scattered everywhere, there is also the mark of the star concerned.
Lewis has thus closely collaborated with the CRC to achieve a truly special series. And very limited, as only 44 copies will be produced. The specific finish characteristic of this model begins with the pearlescent white painted frame, hand-assembled as is fitting for high-end motorcycles. The paint, which is reminiscent of the F4 1000 S Tamburini special series, uses a specific high-quality process. Superb, the bi-tone embossed saddle is in leather and Alcantara, adorned with a diamond pattern of stitching. On the tank, Hamilton’s autograph reserves the best place. Above, there is a smoked bubble. Here and there, anodized red parts, including the rear suspension linkage, the central nut of the rear rim on the monobras, the oil filler orifice on the clutch housing, the opening rod of the racing tank cap... MV has pushed the vice to ask Pirelli for specific tires for this edition, with an LH44 inscribed on its SuperCorsa SP. The only thing that bothers us is this unique exhaust under the saddle, which denatures the original fantastic drawing by Massimo Tamburini, with the 4 hypnotic and eternal pipes. And of course the price. Totally unjustified and also worthy of F1. Does prestige excuse everything?
