Overview
If you thought the Tamburini was the final word in the F4 saga, you are mistaken. MV Agusta, in yet another calculated act of madness, decided to push the limits even further with the F4 Veltro Strada. This name, borrowed from an Italian fighter jet, is no coincidence. It reflects the philosophy of a machine that seems more suited to a circuit than an open road, even in its "road" trim.

The Veltro Strada is a barely disguised SBK F4 for the road. The numbers speak for themselves: 190 horsepower at 12,000 rpm, 117 Nm of torque, and a dry weight of 170 kg. Such a mass, for a 1000 cm3 four-cylinder engine, borders on the supernatural. The secret lies in an excess of exotic materials. 50 mm fork and magnesium swingarm, forged wheels, carbon fiber fairing, and a Brembo Racing braking system that inspires absolute confidence. The rear shock absorber, inherited from Formula 1, offers adjustments of surgical precision. It is a motorcycle where every component seems chosen for its ability to win a race, not for its price.
This obsession with extreme performance comes at a cost, and it is dizzying: €57,300. At this price, you are well beyond a powerful Japanese bike or even a classic high-end European model. You are buying a mechanical work of art, a limited edition collector's item of 99 copies. The Pista version, even more radical and expensive, confirms that we are here in the realm of pure desire objects, almost detached from all rationality.
On the road, such a machine must be a constant exercise in concentration. With a seat height of 810 mm and reduced ground clearance, comfort is clearly not the priority. The engine, with legendary nervousness, demands high revs to deliver its explosive power, culminating in a theoretical top speed of 307 km/h. It is the antithesis of a touring motorcycle. It is aimed at the demanding collector, the wealthy track enthusiast who wants the ultimate, or the aesthete willing to pay the price to own a myth.
The F4 Veltro Strada is not a motorcycle. It is a statement. It is proof that MV Agusta, this small manufacturer from Varese, refuses to follow established rules. It is both sublime and totally unreasonable. A final masterpiece, perhaps, before the era changes definitively.
