Overview
What’s the point of a sportbike under 800cc that approaches 25,000 euros? In a world where classic supersportives are becoming rare, the MV Agusta F3 RR answers with a substantial argument: pure exclusivity, coupled with a fierce desire to perform. As the Supersport World Championship opens to larger machines, welcoming the Ducati Panigale V2 and the Triumph Street Triple RS with fairings, the Varese-based company launches its own legalized track weapon. This isn’t a simple update; it’s a statement of intent.

From the first glance, the aesthetic impact is undeniable. The F3’s sensual silhouette is grafted with impressive carbon winglets, displaying an assumed aggressiveness. Is this a stylistic whim? Far from it. At 240 km/h, these appendages generate 8 kg of additional downforce on the front, stabilizing the motorcycle and allowing the traction control electronics to work later. To counter the aerodynamic drag, MV has reworked the entire fairing, even integrating an ingenious mudguard that channels air towards the brake calipers. Function meets a diabolically beautiful form here.
The heart of the beast remains this 798 cc three-cylinder engine screaming to 13,000 rpm, delivering 147 horsepower and 88 Nm of torque. But the magic mainly happens in the chassis. The reinforced trellis frame, reworked Marzocchi fork and Sachs shock absorber, and a 425-gram lighter rear wheel give it the agility of a feline. Braking, entrusted to Brembo Stylema calipers, inspires absolute confidence. The electronics are abundant: traction control managing the lean angle, a wheelie control system, a bi-directional quickshifter, and a connected TFT dashboard. Everything is there to tame the beast, or at least frame it.
The price is where the problem lies. At 24,500 euros, the MV Agusta F3 RR 2024 positions itself in a very high financial orbit. For this budget, one brushes against the territory of new hypersportives. Its true audience? The demanding track rider and the aesthete for whom emotion takes precedence over the performance/price ratio. The stroke of genius is the included racing kit, with its Akrapovic exhaust and ECU control unit unlocking an additional 8 horsepower and lightening the whole by 8 kg. This option, often expensive with competitors, is part of the F3 RR’s identity. It transforms a high-flying sportbike into a true race prototype for the track.
Facing competition that is dwindling, the MV Agusta F3 RR doesn’t play the card of rationality. It embodies a mechanical object of desire, a motorized sculpture where every detail aims for pure efficiency. Its price reserves it for an elite, but for those who can afford it, it offers a sensory experience and a pedigree that few machines, even more powerful ones, can match. It’s the quintessence of the Italian sportbike, proud, technical, and irresistibly theatrical.
