Overview

For its centenary, Guzzi offers a commemorative livery on 3 of its models. Including the V 85 TT trail, highlighted by pale and evocative nuances. In reference to.....? Let's leave the suspense and time for reflection for young Guzzistes.

Those who know the history of the Mandello brand will already have the reference in their memories. During its 100 years of existence, what was not the ingenuity, the modernity, the impressive machines, the setbacks and its destiny full of twists and turns. Among its most famous models, there is one very special one, the Otto Cilindri.

The V 85 TT Centenario reprises the colors of the former competition motorcycle. A matte gray for the tank, faded green for the mudguard and side panels (reminiscent of the color of the enormous fairing of the reference motorcycle) and a brown leather seat.

It’s not very flashy, and almost sad for an anniversary model. Why did Guzzi choose this OttoCilindri as a point of support on its past? Because it is one of the most famous and most incredible GP machines in history. It was powered by an extremely compact 500 cm3 V8. Not easy to develop, at an exorbitant cost, it hardly won anything but forged an extraordinary aura through its technical specifics.

It has its place in the pantheon of motorcycles, and its colors on the Guzzi centenary models. To accompany the exclusivity, we discover the name of the brand embroidered in gold letters on the seat, the symbol of the eagle in gold plating on the sides of the tank, and a special 100-year logo on the mudguard.

This edition will only be available in 2021, without technical modifications from the standard V 85 TT. A very endearing neo-retro trail, with a 76 horsepower twin with a unique design with its raised lateral cylinders. This 850 cm3 is accompanied by 5 Riding Modes, traction control, cruise control and very characteristic technical elements. Engine guard, spoked wheels, shaft drive, small screen and handguards. For a small surcharge, all in all, quite reasonable.
