Overview
When a Spanish brand tackles the mid-size roadster segment, one always wonders what can justify its existence against the solidly established Japanese giants. The Macbor Rockster 710, in its 2026 version, provides a fairly direct numerical answer: €6,500 for a parallel-twin engine of 693 cm³ developing 73 horsepower. In this very competitive niche, price is often the first argument, and it must be recognized that Macbor plays this card without hesitation.

The engine is the heart of the matter. With a bore of 83 mm for a stroke of 64.5 mm, the configuration is short-stroke, which favors high revs rather than low-end torque. Peak power arrives at 8,750 rpm, and the maximum torque of 66.7 Nm manifests at 6,250 rpm. Nothing revolutionary on paper, but honest figures for an engine designed with a compression ratio of 11.6:1 and four valves per cylinder. This isn't a MT-07 and its 74 horsepower of remarkable liveliness, but the difference is minimal, and the price difference between the two machines is not.
What is more striking is the belt drive associated with a six-speed gearbox. This choice, uncommon on European roadsters of this displacement, promises reduced maintenance and appreciable smoothness in everyday use. The steel tube frame and the 37 mm inverted fork with mono-shock at the rear compose a classic chassis, without significant innovation, but which has proven its worth on machines of similar size. The dry weight of 203 kg remains reasonable, even if this figure without the fluids should be taken with caution according to the final finish.
The 14.8-liter tank allows for correct autonomy for mixed urban and road use. This is the typical profile of this motorcycle: a rider who seeks accessible versatility, without pronounced sporting ambitions, and who appreciates a readable engine. The A2 license is, in fact, a natural target if the power can be limited to the regulatory 35 kW, which Macbor has not explicitly confirmed in the available technical specifications.
The real gamble of the Rockster 710 is to convince in a segment where Kawasaki places its Z650 with years of development and a global network behind it. Macbor, a Barcelona-based brand undergoing rapid development, relies on value for money and a visual identity that stands out from the uniformity of the Japanese. If reliability and after-sales support follow, this machine can find its public among pragmatic motorcyclists who want mechanical pleasure without emptying their bank account. If these two points falter, the entry price will not be enough to compensate.
