Overview

Although being the youngest of Akashi’s customs, the Vulcan 900 cannot help but want to play on the road like its big brother. Its twin, despite having half the displacement, has nevertheless decided to go on an expedition as well. The large 1700 Nomad has chosen a line of conduct: cruiser with style, without encroaching on the extravagance of the Voyager paquebot; the 900 wants to do the same, but with more lightness. Equipped with the adequate pack, here it is transformed into the Vulcan 900 Light Tourer. With its sissy-bar and an additional flame design, it almost looks like a mini-road king. A large windscreen and two 15-liter leather saddlebags work together to set off on a journey.

The VN 900 Light Tourer passes under the 10,000 euro mark, and its price is more than 6,000 euros less than that of the Vulcan 1700 Nomad, the latter soaring above a certain philosophy of light travel. Regarding the engine, the difference is a gulf: a couple of tens of horsepower and especially nearly 5 mkg to the advantage of the large Vulcan. In short, while one gently pulls you towards a ride, the other pushes you with power towards cruising.
