Overview
The new CB 1000 R turns a page in Honda’s 10-year history. An episode of robotic boldness hampered by a relentless pursuit of power, design, and technology. After the time of a threat, the roadster comes to claim its share of Neo Sport Café.
No need for a spoon, but an espresso as a ristretto is now often accompanied by a small chocolate or pastry. It’s the same here, with Honda offering an accessorized version found under the name CB 1000 R +. Consequently, there’s no need to search the catalog; the manufacturer has taken care of it. The right measure to have a more sparkling machine without falling into a show-off display. A dose of comfort first, with heated grips and a quickshifter to enhance gear changes. The other accessories are dedicated to style: aluminum panels for the front and rear mudguards, a deflector above the dashboard, a radiator protection grille, and a seat cowl.
Enough to give a little wink before and after letting loose the expression of its 4-cylinder engine delivering 145 horsepower. Stripped-down silhouette, inverted fork, radial calipers, monobrach, traction control, 4 riding modes, engine brake control – the machine is appropriately equipped. This '+' adds a tribute of 1500 euros to the price of the CB 1000 R.
