Overview
In 2013, there will be approximately 1,900 units of a limited series: the Heritage Classic under the banner of Harley Davidson’s 110th anniversary. This Softail with a touring accent here features the Anniversary Vintage Bronze / Black color scheme. The 110th designation also claims the adoption of certain specific elements: a two-tone seat, a massive nickel-plated black bronze medallion on the tank, a set of "one hundred ten years" medallions and covers, an emblem on the back of the sissy-bar, as well as an authenticity plate affixed in the middle of the handlebar. Enough to appreciate, with the emotion of time, this motorcycle with an even more vintage taste.
Within the Softail range, this Heritage is the one that lends itself best to covering miles. Beyond the typically Harley styling, there is a certain charm emanating from the large windscreen (which can be easily removed with a simple turn) and its beautiful studded leather saddlebags. Derived from the Fat Boy, it is therefore not surprising to find a certain resemblance. The Heritage relies on good arguments to take bikers without worry along Route 66. First, the Twin Cam 103 B, that is, a large 1690 cm3 twin with a balance shaft and rigidly mounted in the frame. The mounting of a balance shaft has significantly reduced vibrations - a characteristic of Milwaukee engines. Purists will grit their teeth, but it is the only criticism (and still) that one could make of it. This engine is even more generous in torque, more present, and will have a bright future in cruising and pleasure riding.
