Ducati XDiavel Nera 2024 — Specifications

If I tell you "Italian haute couture," do you immediately think of MV-Agusta or Ducati? Those who think Gucci or Versace, out! In Schiranna as in Bologna, we like to surround ourselves with prestigious partners. This time, it's the XDiavel that is associated with a high-end brand. This powerful cruiser shares its emotion with Poltrona Frau, a specialist in premium furniture.

There's no extravagance when it comes to the name; it's simply called Nera. XDiavel Nera. The marriage with the furniture manufacturer from Tolentino mainly focuses on a high-quality seat. A perfect seat for Vin Diesel – it is scattered with laser-engraved X's. But also a demonstration of Poltrona Frau's know-how. The leather used is a Pelle Frau specification, a specific skin processing method specific to the company. Five colors will be offered to embellish the machine.

A comfortable passenger seat benefits from the same treatment. Owners will also receive a keychain and a document holder made with the same colored leather as that chosen for their XDiavel Nera. As an accessory, Ducati has planned a dedicated jet helmet. They could have given it away, considering the price tag demanded for this limited series.

How many will be available? 500, no more. Identification within the series is found on a plate placed on one of the frame tubes, between the tank and the V engine. On the other side, you can see one of the refinements specifically planned for this Ducati: painted red valve covers. Brembo M50 brake calipers are given the same purple treatment. The XDiavel Nera has the good fortune of giving a little more, with lightweight, machined forged rims, a "Black on Black" color scheme alternating between matte black and glossy black, and a special animation when the TFT color dashboard is turned on.

This isn't the first time that Ducati and Poltrona Frau have worked together. One had already called on the other for the Scrambler 1100 Club Italia. A much more special edition, with only 80 copies planned. In addition, you had to be a member of the club to be able to buy it.

There are no changes to report on the technical side. This XDiavel is identical to the others, with its impressive 1262 cm3 twin with variable distribution. The engine produces 160 horsepower at 9500 rpm and 13 mkg at only 5000 rpm. The inverted fork (50 mm) and the rear tire (240 mm) are simply enormous. The electronics are also well present with an inertial unit, traction control, ABS cornering, several Riding Modes, a cruise control, a low-speed assist, a hands-free system, a daytime signature, the in-house Multimedia system and backlit controls.

The XDiavel Nera, it might be a lot of noise for a top-quality seat, a bi-color paint job and a coat of paint on superb brake calipers. Fortunately, the engine, the power and the price also make quite a racket.
