Overview
Representative of the (very) fast touring model within the BMW range, the K 1300 S beautifully illustrates the dwindling breed of Sport-GTs. The alliance of comfort and sport, powered by a substantial 175 horsepower four-cylinder engine. To offer even more sportiness, here is the limited HP series, equipped with numerous features highlighting the beast's potential.
The K 1300 S HP boasts a sporty and elegant white-blue-black color scheme, but it is primarily through the addition of components that the machine justifies its designation. There are a multitude of parts that one would expect to see more on an S 1000 RR than on a K series: it is equipped with adjustable footrests and passenger footpegs made of solid aluminum, a quickshifter, and an Akrapovic muffler combining carbon and titanium. There is also carbon fiber on board: the front fender, airbox cover, clutch cover protection, and passenger seat cover are made with this fiber. A touch more style with a tinted windshield, a bit of mechanical ease with a stand rear, reinforced riding comfort with an on-board computer and heated grips, and electronic assistance with the RDC tire pressure monitoring system, ASC traction control, and ESA II pilot suspension.
This is beautiful but not cheap. The bill exceeds 20,000 euros. To further enhance this special series, BMW will only produce 750 numbered copies.
