Overview

The Scrambler is the modern reinterpretation of the Scrambler. The first wants to have fun and recapture the taste of simple and lively machines; the second fell asleep 40 years ago and was thinking the same thing. The Classic version of the 800 Scrambler is the one that most wants to rediscover the vibrancy of its ancestor. Do you like the 70s? So does it. The "Orange Sunshine" color scheme, crossed by a black stripe on the tank, is very suggestive, delicately tempered by a logo identical to that of the machine of yesteryear.

The vintage brown seat, the spoked rims, the more generous aluminum fenders - details that are all important in the spirit that this bike wants to convey. Beneath the scent of the seventies, everyone will find modern technology: injection, ABS, a 330 mm brake disc with a radial 4-piston caliper, LED signature headlight, specific Pirelli Dual Sport tires; and an engine that bridges the two. The desmo twin (retouched) from the older Monster 796 develops 73 horsepower and remains the only model in the brand to be air-cooled and fed via two valves per cylinder. The Scrambler is not a bolt of lightning, and we don't care. The pleasure is elsewhere. Not in the price, which stings a bit. The Ducati Scrambler Classic charges for its originality, riding the wave of neo-retro premium and a well-oiled marketing strategy. But let's first acknowledge that a machine as nice and relaxed is a pleasure to see in the catalog.
