Overview
So, a Ducati Scrambler 1100 at €20,500? You might think it’s a joke, but no, that's the listed price for this Club Italia. It must be said that this is not just any Scrambler. It's the return of a love story between the Bologna-based brand and a club of Italian aesthetes, a partnership that had already produced the Monster 900 Club Italia years ago. Here, they drew from the high-end range, the Sport Pro, to create a near-sectarian collector's item, reserved for the 80 members of the club. The price, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Club Italia price, is a barrier in its own right, but it comes with its certificate of authenticity.

The transformation is above all a lesson in style and detail. Forget the DIY look of some scramblers; everything is carefully considered here. The deep blue fuel tank edged with red is magnificent, set on a frame of the same hue. The stitched red leather seat announces the color: it's a unique piece. But what strikes you is the profusion of machined aluminum parts. From the radiator covers to the levers and footrests, every detail shines with craftsmanship that justifies, in part, the price tag. The Termignoni titanium exhausts and spoked wheels complete a resolutely premium picture, far from the base's roots spirit.
On paper, the Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro serves as the base, and it’s already the most accomplished of the family. The 1079 cc L-twin, air and oil-cooled, delivers its 86 horsepower with the characteristic flair of the Desmo. The torque is generous, with 88.3 Nm available relatively early, making it a very playful machine without being nervous. The chassis, with its trellis frame and adjustable Öhlins suspension, offers a serious road potential, much more than the neo-retro style suggests. Brembo radial brakes ensure stopping power without question. The electronics, with its riding modes, Cornering ABS, and traction control, are there to tame the beast.
Who is this machine for? Certainly not for beginners, and even less for the touring rider looking for a motorcycle to rack up miles. The 810 mm seat height and the weight of 206 kg when fully fueled make it a physically accessible motorcycle, but its price and status as a rare object destine it to the discerning collector, to the aesthete who already has a well-stocked garage. It's a motorcycle to show off, to cherish more than to ride daily, despite its real capabilities. Faced with more affordable competitors like the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE, more adventurous, or the BMW R nineT Pure, more raw, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Club Italia plays on a different register, that of mechanical artwork and exclusivity.
Ultimately, this limited edition succeeds in its gamble: transforming an excellent motorcycle into a symbol. The work on the finishes is remarkable, the mechanics are reliable and characterful, and the story behind it adds value. But at this price, you are well beyond a simple motorcycle. It's an investment, an act of passion for a few initiates, with the added bonus of a donation to a hospital for each copy sold. A machine that is admired as much as it is ridden, for the pleasure of very, very few.
