Overview

Sixteen years. That’s the age of the 65° V4 engine beating under the fairing of the Aprilia RSV4 1100 2025, and Noale continues to extract performance from it that its designers probably wouldn’t have dared to imagine in 2009. When the engine of the first RSV4 topped out at 180 horsepower, this 2025 version announces 220 at 13,000 rpm, while complying with the Euro 5+ standard. It's the kind of trajectory that commands respect, an architecture that ages better than many of its rivals born since.

Aprilia RSV4 1100

The 220 horsepower figure is more than just a marketing argument. It positions the Aprilia RSV4 1100 ahead of the BMW S1000RR and its 210 horsepower, ahead of the Ducati Panigale V4 and its 216 horsepower. To achieve this, engineers worked on throttle bodies increased from 48 to 52 mm and a new exhaust system, with an SC Project kit available as an option for those who want to go even further. Torque follows the same logic with 125 Nm at 10,800 rpm, all in an aluminum chassis that weighs 202 kg fully fueled. The announced top speed exceeds 300 km/h. On the track, these figures have a concrete meaning; on the road, they simply mean that you will never reach the bottom of the rev range.

The Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory 2025 comes standard with a six-axis inertial platform that feeds a complete electronic arsenal. APRC traction control is adjustable in eight levels without closing the throttle, wheelie control now operates in a predictive rather than corrective mode, and the quickshifter manages both upshifts and downshifts with the throttle open. What has disappeared from the standard equipment, launch control, pit limiter, and cruise control, is found in optional packages. Aprilia has divided its offer into a Track Pack, Comfort Pack, and Race Pack, the latter integrating a GPS module for lap time recording. The RSV4 Factory, for its part, receives all of this as standard, with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension and forged aluminum wheels replacing the Sachs units on the standard version. The Factory also features corner-by-corner electronic parameter management, a technology inherited directly from the brand’s MotoGP programs. In terms of price, the Aprilia RSV4 1100 2025 is priced at 21,279 euros for the standard version, which represents a significant increase compared to the prices of previous generations.

Aprilia RSV4 1100

The chassis remains largely unchanged, and that’s good news. The 43 mm Sachs fork remains fully adjustable, braking is entrusted to Brembo, which moves upmarket with HyPure calipers replacing the Stylema units, lighter calipers that increase contact area with the pads and dissipate heat better. The 330 mm front discs are bitten with conviction that will make you regret having braked too late. Bosch ABS with cornering function also manages rear wheel lift, an essential safeguard when you have this much power. The redesigned bodywork incorporates double-decker wings under the bubble, the Cx is reduced by 6%, and the tendency to wheelie is reduced by 8%, according to Aprilia. On the track, these gains exist; on the open road, they are imperceptible.

Aprilia RSV4 1100

This generation is clearly aimed at experienced track riders and thrill-seeking collectors who also occasionally ride on the road. It's not a motorcycle for beginners, nor even for intermediate riders without track experience. The 845 mm seat height and contained weight allow for correct physical handling, but the character of the V4 demands rigor and a real understanding of your own limits. What makes the RSV4 remarkable, beyond the numbers, is this ability to remain improvable over time. An engine base born in 2009, refined generation after generation, which today surpasses everything the competition produces in homologated series production. It’s stubborn engineering, the best kind.
