Overview

The Triumph Classics range has been confidently expanded, starting with a tranquil 900 Street Twin up to the vigorous 1200 Thruxton R. Fittingly, the Street Twin wouldn’t mind a bit of mischief. Even a small desire for challenge between gentlemen. And that’s a job for a sparkling Street Cup. A small, stylish machine that truly wants to be noticed.

Its two-tone colors immediately strike the retina. Impossible to remain impassive. As for the rider, he will immediately feel the difference compared to the Street Twin. The riding position evolves towards a more sporty feel. With rear-set footpegs borrowed from the sportiest of the Classics, an ACE handlebar bringing the grips lower and further forward, a pair of longer shock absorbers raising the rear, the gentleman-rider will be positioned to enjoy a more incisive ride. A revised braking system should finely improve its quality while the new generation 900 engine is carried over without significant changes; except for its exhaust notes, via new shorter and lighter exhausts, covered in satin black. Let's remember that this engine has inherited liquid cooling and ride-by-wire. The Cup does not yet benefit from the 2019 technical developments and must settle for 55 horsepower. With its watts, the parallel twin propels a 200-kilo machine. With a much more pronounced and less fuel-hungry drive than the old 865 cm3 engine. For the European market, the Street Cup can be restricted in A2 version.

On the electronics side, enthusiasts of old motorcycles, or classically styled motorcycles, will always be surprised to see ABS, traction control, a USB socket and an assist clutch on the technical specification. Not to mention the cruise control and heated grips as an option.

Closely derived from the Street Twin, this urban and provocative café racer stands out with a whole series of elements: a "café racer" seat with an Alcantara effect top panel and contrasting silver stitching, a matching body-colored "café racer" seat cowl, with decorative numbers and easily removable, a tinted windshield matching the color scheme, a set of handlebar-end mirrors with forged stems, stainless steel instrument dials, paying homage to the Thruxton, the footpegs from the Thruxton 1200 R, forged headlight brackets in a Thruxton style with painted housing and dial, sporty-looking fork protectors, replacing the classic Street Twin fork gaiters, and black-shell turn signals. As for the finish, it is flattering: hand-applied pinstripes on the tank, painted rim stripes, gold engine badges and exclusive Triumph tank decals and badges. Customization enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that more than 120 accessories are available to further enhance the Street Cup.
