Overview
Isn’t simply owning a luxurious Scrambler enough? Do you desire to take a roadster of distinction into challenging terrain with a handsome appearance? That’s what led you to this Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE Icon Edition. A unique machine in current production, and of a high standing.
High standing but not ostentatious. The Icon collection is certainly the least extravagant since Triumph launched this annual theme (Icon – Stealth – Chrome – Gold Line). This doesn't prevent it from having undeniable class, thoroughly British.
The Icon offers a delicate interplay of black and silver grey, posing on the tank. The alchemy makes full sense with the hand-painted gold stripes, as if to accompany the key element of the evening without overshadowing it. Here, the character who wants to take the best place on the dress is the Triumph logo. Gold as well, it comes from the brand’s crests. Indeed, Triumph has revived its 1907 badge to authenticate all Icon models.
This is something to be proud of when riding this Scrambler. Firstly because the appearance steps up a level. Secondly because the machine defends itself as well as a trail bike in off-road sectors. With its impressive suspension travel (250 mm), ground clearance worthy of a 700 Ténéré, its 21-inch front wheel, spoke wheels and appropriate tires, the XE is capable of taking you to places reserved for the Tigers. There is no deception in the name or in the merchandise. The weight, however, will be a warning to ardent riders - 230 kg for off-road riding, it takes a bit of skill.
Not to mention that the Scrambler XE does a lot to flatter the owner, with its beautiful presentation and quality finish, its Brembo Stylema brakes, its remarkable aluminum swingarm, the energetic 90 horsepower of the 1200 twin, its fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension, and its onboard electronics (IMU, six Riding Modes, traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control, color TFT screen, keyless start, USB port and backlit commodos).
But all that + the Icon Edition clothing gives the machine a serious boost. You are in the presence of the top of the Scrambler and the Icon collection at the same time, and that demands more than 17,000 euros.
