Overview
It’s as if Suzuki saved its best cartridge for last. While the segment of sport-touring motorcycles is boiling over, the GSX-S 1000 F unveils this Titanium finish, which smells of a race shop. This is far from a simple sticker kit. For 1,000 euros more than the standard version, or 14,299 €, the Japanese manufacturer calls on the services of Yoshimura, its long-standing partner, for surgery on the exhaust system. The R-11 titanium muffler isn't just for looks: it lightens the machine by nearly 2 kg, releases a few stifled horsepower, and, above all, gives a voice to this inline four-cylinder 999 cm3 engine that was sorely lacking it. The resulting sound is deeper, more authoritative, a true mechanical signature that was missing from the original.

Because the heart of this motorcycle is precisely this engine derived from the mythical GSX-R 1000 K5, slightly reworked for the road. With 145 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 10.4 mkg of torque at 7500 rpm, it has lost nothing of its explosive temperament. The difference with a Kawasaki Z 1000 SX, for example, is striking: where the green one is linear, civilized, the Suzuki is nervous, impulsive. It demands to be ridden up in the rev range to deliver all its fury, a character that will delight older riders who miss the sportbikes of yesteryear, but which could intimidate a touring rider seeking suppleness. The chassis, with its perimeter aluminum frame and 43 mm inverted fork, is designed for this kind of demonstration: precise, direct, it transforms the 214 kg fully fueled into surprising agility for a machine in this category.
The special series adds style to this martial foundation. The gray titanium livery with red accents is subtle, classy, and the black levers and specific seat cowl complete the factory-like feel of the whole. It's a motorcycle that looks its competitors straight in the eye, without unnecessary frippery. The seat height of 810 mm remains accessible, and the 17-liter tank gives it correct autonomy for a sport-touring motorcycle, even if it is far from the capacities of the large GTs.
So, who is this Titanium for? Clearly not for the beginner, nor for those seeking absolute comfort and the latest electronics. It is a machine for the pure and hard enthusiast, one who still believes in the visceral connection between the throttle and the arm, who appreciates the raw character of a highly performing engine and the thrill of a muffler that sings loud and strong. It makes the bold bet of simplicity and mechanical efficiency in a world where electronic assistance reigns supreme. A risky bet, but terribly seductive for those who still know what a motorcycle should make them feel.
