Overview
At what point does a motorcycle cease to be a simple vehicle and become a work of art on wheels? Ask anyone who has ever seen an MV Agusta Superveloce 800 S, and you will have your answer. Here, we are not talking about transportation, but about pure seduction, a mechanical Italian sculpture that seems to have come straight from a museum, but ready to tear up the asphalt. With its pearlescent white paint enhanced with gold accents, its exclusive spoked rims, and its brown Alcantara seats, this machine is an aesthetic manifesto. But be warned, beneath this diva's attire lies a strong character, typical of Varese creations.

The heart of the beast remains this 798 cm3 triple that screams up to 13,000 rpm, delivering 147 horsepower and 88 Nm of torque. Admittedly, Euro5 homologation has taken a pony away, but the essence is intact. The real progress lies in the discreet but effective technical update: stiffened frame, revised electronics with an inertial sensor, and a faster 3.0 Quick Shift gearbox. Braking now uses Brembo Stylema calipers clamping 320 mm discs, a standard equipment that speaks volumes about its ambitions. The Racing kit supplied, with its Arrow silencer and single-seat cover, even promises a few extra horsepower and lightens the spirit, if not always the wallet.
Compared to a Triumph Street Triple RS or a Ducati Streetfighter V2, the MV Agusta Superveloce 800 S plays in a different league, that of raw emotion and status. At €27,500, it costs the price of a small car, but you don't buy an MV to be rational. Its 16.5-liter tank and 830 mm seat make it a demanding companion, more suited to muscular rides than long journeys. The passenger, as often on these machines with a strong character, is clearly the fifth wheel.

So, who is this Italian for? For the enthusiast who places beauty and sensation above all else, for those who accept the whims of sublime mechanics in exchange for admiring glances and an exhaust sound that sends shivers down your spine. It will never be the most reliable, nor the most versatile, but it is undoubtedly one of the most captivating. The Superveloce 800 S doesn't transport you, it possesses you. And sometimes, that’s precisely what you’re looking for.
