Overview
Motorcycle: MV Agusta RVS #1 (2018)

Do you dream of an MV Agusta that breaks free from the beaten path, that looks like no other? Then the RVS #1 is for you. This is not a simple customization; it is the first creation of Reparto Veicoli Speciali, the brand's special vehicle department. Imagine: taking a Dragster RR already wild, and injecting even more character, technology, and artisanal madness. The result is a machine at €36,300, a limited series where each example bears its number engraved on a titanium plate. This is the price of exclusivity, and for some enthusiasts, every cent will be justified.
Look at it. The headlight is a work of art in itself: its outline reproduces part of the MV logo, and its LED system, coupled with an inertial platform, modulates the lighting according to the inclination and speed. It's high-tech gadgetry, but it's also pure design. The frame, faithful to the Dragster base, combines tubular steel trellis and aluminum plates, with the RVS logo engraved on the right section. Kineo spoked rims, Sunstar Batfly discs, the unique-pattern leather seat, the countless machined parts – covers, grips, levers, protections – everything is special, considered, custom-made. This MV Agusta RVS 1, if you find one for sale, will be immediately recognizable. It doesn't blend in with the crowd, it dominates it.
And beneath this aggressive beauty lies muscle. The 798 cc counter-rotating triple has been reworked to deliver 150 horsepower at 12,800 rpm, with a torque of 87 Nm at 10,100 rpm. They optimized the distribution, the camshafts, the flow in the combustion chambers. All this propels a dry weight of 168 kg, 8 kg less than the original Dragster RR. With a SC Project titanium silencer, the symphony is guaranteed. It's an engine that waits for only one thing: to be opened, to unleash its angry and expressive character. The transmission remains a six-speed gearbox and a chain, classic but effective.
Compared to programs like Harley’s CVO or Yamaha’s Yard Built, MV Agusta’s RVS plays in a different league. It doesn't customize a standard base, it transforms it into a technological work of art. The audience? The collector, the aesthete, the track enthusiast who wants a unique machine for sunny days. It's a motorcycle for those who look beyond the numbers, for those who value execution, detail, emotion. The Brembo brakes, the 43 mm inverted fork, the monoshock – everything is there for performance, but it is the whole that creates the aura.
The MV Agusta RVS #1 is not a sensible motorcycle. Its price is dizzying, its look is provocative, its mechanics are exhilarating. But it proves that customization can be a discipline of engineers and artisans, not just stylists. It is the antithesis of mass production, an object that defies time and conventions. If you have the opportunity to see one, to hear one, you will understand that some machines are not meant to be used, but to be experienced.
