Overview
When the World Supersport championship opened its doors to middleweights beyond the 600 class, MV Agusta didn't wait for a formal invitation. The 2023 F3 RR 800 arrives with a clear ambition: to challenge the Ducati Panigale V2 and the Triumph Daytona 765 on their own turf. And to do so, the Varese firm has pulled out all the stops.

The first thing that strikes you is the winglets. The F3 RR adopts integrated winglets within an entirely redesigned fairing, carved from carbon fiber. The result is visually brutal, almost aggressive on a design that was until now quintessentially Italian in its elegance. But function takes priority over form: 8 kg of aerodynamic downforce at 240 km/h, which seriously relieves the front end and allows the traction control to work more precisely. To offset the additional drag, MV reworked the drag coefficient with a redesigned screen, new side panels, and a front fender whose lower section channels air toward the brake calipers. A detail found nowhere else in series production.
Beneath the fairing, the 798 cc triple stays true to its reputation as a fierce powerplant. With 147 horsepower at 13,000 rpm and 88 Nm of torque at 10,100 rpm, it doesn't play in the same league as a Ducati twin in terms of character. This engine lives in the rev range — it demands to be wrung out. Titanium valves, revised injectors, an optimized exhaust system, and a more efficient oil cooler: the spec sheet has been refined without revolution. The real bonus is the factory-supplied racing kit, with a titanium Akrapovic exhaust and a dedicated ECU. Enough to climb to 155 horsepower at a dry weight of 165 kg. The power-to-weight ratio then enters territory reserved for race machines.
The tubular steel trellis frame, stiffened with new aluminum plates inherited from the platform shared with the Brutale and Dragster, gains in precision. The rear wheel, lightened by 425 grams, reduces rotational inertia by 10% — a noticeable gain on corner entry. On the suspension side, the 43 mm Marzocchi inverted fork and Sachs shock offer limited travel, 125 and 130 mm respectively, typical of a pure sportbike. Braking is handled by radially mounted Brembo Stylema calipers on 320 mm discs, inspiring immediate confidence. The onboard electronics make no compromises either: six-axis inertial measurement unit, Continental cornering ABS, lean-angle-sensitive traction and wheelie control, launch control, four engine maps, and a third-generation bidirectional quickshifter. The 5.5-inch TFT display connects to a smartphone via the MV Ride app for navigation and fine-tuning.
Then comes the uncomfortable question. What does the MV Agusta F3 RR 800 cost in France? Expect to pay 24,500 euros, a price tag that puts this Italian up against considerably more powerful Japanese hypersports. For a Panigale V2 or a Daytona 765, the bill remains more contained. The F3 RR 800 therefore targets a very specific audience: the demanding track rider, drawn to Italian craftsmanship, who seeks a compact track weapon rather than a straight-line missile. For those dreaming of an even more exclusive version, the question of the MV Agusta F3 RR 800 Ottantesimo 2025 price in France is worth asking, as the special edition pushes the envelope even further. The F3 RR doesn't convince through accessibility, but through its uncompromising nature. It's a motorcycle that demands commitment — on the track and when signing the check.
